Join us for our first Synergy meeting of 2026! This in-person only meeting will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. This is a members only event.

Michael Goldsmith, Vice President of Integrated Behavioral Health at Behavioral Care Solutions (BCS) will be joining us to present for the first 2 hours of the meeting on the changing resident demographics nursing facilities are experiencing, including the rise in mental health diagnoses and how to navigate these changes.

Topics of discussion include:

• How to conduct pre-admission screenings using appropriate questions to help navigate and capture details that may be left out of standard admission screenings.
• Using appropriate approach strategies, supportive interventions, and de-escalation techniques that can work to address the growing mood and behavioral challenges in your communities.
• Empowering your staff to have a deeper understanding of these mental health diagnoses and how to work with residents experiencing these progressing mood and behavioral responses to build a stronger, safer, and more peaceful environment for both staff and residents.

Following lunch, we will have a group discussion and BCS will take questions.

NAB has approved this educational opportunity for 2.0 CEUs for NHAs. We will have CEU validation forms on hand for you to fill out and return to us at the end of the meeting so we can submit the CEUs you earn to NAB.
